Harrisons eDiscovery Consulting (Pty) Limited (Harrisons) is owned by Waseema Harrison, and Terry Harrison is a Director and Consultant. Together they bring unrivalled global experience and skills of eDiscovery to South Africa, spanning a collective 40 years plus. Whilst in the UK they worked on some of worlds biggest cases for some of the best-known corporations right across the globe. They utilised several eDiscovery solutions and enjoyed a global reputation.
Returning to her hometown of Cape Town in 2014, Waseema worked with service providers on numerous litigation, competition, and arbitration cases and more recently on high profile investigations. She is the most experienced and most certified eDiscovery technologist in South Africa.
Terry concentrated on being South Africa’s first independent eDiscovery Consultant, writing a regular international award-winning blog and was principal author of A Guide to eDiscovery in South Africa published by Lexis Nexis. His mission has been to have the Uniform Rules amended to incorporate eDiscovery and as such presented to the Rules Board of the Dept of Justice prompting them to set up a task team to deal with amendments to the rules. He was quoted by the South African Law Reform Commission in its Discussion Paper 150 relating to legal fees.
Proudly hosting RelativityOne, the global market leading eDiscovery software, Harrisons was one of the first providers to have their instance hosted in the cloud via Microsoft Azure, here in South Africa. This ensures South African data remains in South Africa and is fully compliant with POPIA and GDPR.
